Welcome! This
site is dedicated to the collection and dispersal of true stories of
sexual harassment, especially those experienced in higher educational
institutions. The inspiration for this website was my own
former graduate school advisor, whom I first dubbed "Dr. Randy Lecher*"
when I was describing my own case to other online sexual harassment
support
groups, after having been completely fleeced, silenced, and then
slandered by my University's "Equal Opportunity" office. For

the
"Sightings" column at the left.
I believe that, in addition to being a
pathetic and loathsome person that I personally know, Randy Lecher is a
worldwide phenomenon. If

Fantastic news! Despite his best efforts, Dr. Lecher has been forced to pack his bags and depart the University for good. I hope that he will not be able to weasel his way back into academia at any institution in the future, but I have no doubt that he will try. He is married, for the moment, to a nice girl who is half his age (poor thing...she's another of his former students), so maybe that will prevent him from trying to force himself on the rest of us for at least a year or two.
Lecher update October 13th, 2007:
Disappointing news. Although Dr. Lecher has been denied tenure and left the department, the University has decided to keep him on in an administrative position and as an occasional instructor in another department. I had thought that, while they wouldn't open themselves up to a possible lawsuit by formally recognizing the veracity of my claims, at least the University had seen that he was enough of a liability to distance themselves from him. Apparently I was wrong. Ladies, beware...Dr. Lecher may be prowling the halls of a department near you! -Cassandra * Names of people and places (and other
